Elderberry Tea Recipe
Recipes for Elderberry Tea can be found in cookbooks from the beginning of the 1900's.
Back then, Elderberries were very valuable because of their detoxifying and cleansing effect.
Among other things, they were used for cough relief and blood cleansing. Elderberry Tea is also great for the reduce of flu symptoms, pain, aches, and fever.
Drink a hot cup of Elderberry Tea several times a day at the onset of symptoms. You can also add some lemon and sweeten it with honey as needed. Drink the Elderberry Tea unsweetened to cleanse blood or to relieve water retention.
Elderberry Tea Recipe
You will need:
1 Tbsp. Dried Elderberries
1 Cup of Water (Room Temperature)
1 Tsp. of Honey
1. Pour the Elderberries and the Water into a pot and let the Elderberries soak for 10 minutes.
2. Bring the Water to a boil, then remove directly from heat and let it sit for 10 more minutes. Keep the lid on.
3. Strain the elderberries using a fine mesh strainer over a bowl or tea pot. The Elderberries can be discarded.
4. Add the honey as needed.
